Jose Mangin
In addition to co-hosting LatiNation, a weekly nationally syndicated TV show on in over 100 major markets and on SiTV, he also hosts Sirius XM’s Octane and Liquid Metal.

José started his musical career in Arizona as Metal Director of KAMP, the University of Arizona college radio station in Tucson, and then graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee’s College of Pharmacy in Memphis. Deciding against a career in pharmaceuticals, José pursued his dream in radio by working for WMFS where he won Album Network’s “Metal Director of the Year” in 1999. He then moved to New York City, where he worked for TVT Records and later landed his dream job at Sirius XM in 2000.

As one of the first voices ever heard on satellite radio, José has not only hosted Liquid Metal, with regular appearances on Opie & Anthony show, Maxim Radio, Raw Dog Comedy, and the Howard Stern channels, but has also been in charge of programming several rock channels at Sirius XM for over nine years.

Since 2004, José has won FMQB’s “Program Director of the Year” and “Most Influential Programmer of the Year,” and GQ Magazine featured José in their December 2005 issue as one of four satellite radio DJs that “we’d pay to hear.” José was even name checked by Metallica’s James Hetfield in Rolling Stone magazine, and in the summer of 2009, he was featured throughout the pages of Inked magazine.

José also hosts a daily video blog, stars in various rock videos, hosts documentaries, is a spokesmodel for Affliction, Remetee & Metal Couture clothing, and is a proud father of two little metal girls.

Recently MTV2 chose José to host a weeklong celebration for the 20th anniversary of MTV’s longest running show, the Headbangers Ball, interviewing the show’s past hosts and bands such as Metallica, Anthrax, Mudvayne, Testament and more.  In the spring of 2009, José hosted a weeklong special surrounding the country’s first ever heavy metal awards show, the Revolver Golden Gods Awards.  Since then, he’s hosted over eight episodes of the Headbangers Ball and has been officially handed the torch to carry on as host for hard rock’s most respected music video TV show.

Raised since birth on rock music, José lives his dream 24/7 and is unbelievably proud to be bringing this music to the masses.
